I am a Certified Public Accounting (CPA), an Independent Life Insurance Agent, and Podcast Influencer. I have been passionate about being an Accountant for over 30 years. I received my CPA certification in the Fall of 2002 and my Independent Life Insurance Certification in the Fall of 2013. My journey into accounting started in my high school years but solidified during my college years at the University of Pittsburgh. I graduated from the University of Pittsburgh (December ‘94) with a BS in Business/Accounting and began my accounting career working as an auditor for the PA Department of Revenue. Since then, I have held a variety of accounting jobs in the public, private, corporate, nonprofit, and government sectors. In 2013, I decided to go out on my own and created Mittman Besnoff Agency focusing on individuals, small businesses, and nonprofit organizations in the areas of tax, accounting, and life insurance services. In 2022, I decided to evolve my business and expand into financial education empowerment and rebranded as Your Financial Maven® LLC. In the Spring of 2022, I decided to add to my financial education empowerment and get into the world of Podcasting. I could talk all day about financial empowerment and how it is so important to have a basic understanding of personal and business finances. I was part of the inaugural class of the Seneca Women Podcast Academy along with iHeart Media. My podcast- Your Financial Maven® launched on April 26, 2023 on the Seneca Women Podcast Network. In September 2023, the Your Financial Maven® Podcast moved on to be an independent podcast. Beginning in May of 2024,Your Financial Maven® shifted the focus of services provided to focus more on Entrepreneurs and Small Business Owners. I am so proud to be a Solopreneur and Woman-Owned Business.

In addition to being in business, I continue to educate and expand my business knowledge through various Master Level College Certificate Programs: Gratz College, Cornell University, and Lebanon Valley College. I received the following certificates: Nonprofit Management, Women in Entrepreneurship, and Leadership & Ethics. I was also a part of the Nasdaq Entrepreneurship Milestone program, graduating in the summer of 2023. As a CPA and Independent Life Insurance Agent, I am required annually to receive continued professional education for both of my licenses. Other certifications I have are being a Xero Certified Accountant and Quickbooks Online ProAdvisor.

In 2023, I was named by the Pennsylvania Institute of CPAs as one of the Women to Watch. In 2024 and 2025, I was a nominee in the Women in Podcasting Awards.

I am a Mom, Wife, and Community Leader who is compassionate, caring and enjoys life. My husband and my boys keep me balanced between work and personal life. When I am not working, you can find me playing with our fur baby, at the beach, and spending time with cherished family and friends.
